Procedure for Residential Volunteer Recruitment
If you feel that Father God may be calling you to be a residential volunteer at the House of Life (HoL), this is the procedure…
- You should express your interest to us, the Directors, by email to f.livingstones@gmail.com.
- We will suggest that you come to the HoL as a day visitor for a minimum of a few days, to meet with us and familiarise yourself with the activities of the HoL. You will be responsible for your own expenses, transport, meals and accommodation.
- In the event that we all feel that the application should be taken further, we will send you an application form (with a GDPR data processing consent form) for you to complete. The application form will include a declaration of any criminal record and a request for details of referees (references).
- The Directors will apply to your referees for references.
- The Safeguarding Officer will check that your details do not appear on the Sexual Offenders Public Register (RSPTS in Poland) or any equivalent register in your own country.
- The Directors will then invite you to an interview. If you are based outside of Poland, this can take place over a video conferencing platform such as zoom.
- Once the Directors and you believe it is the right choice for you to serve at the HoL, the length of service and the date for the commencement of service shall be mutually agreed. We will email you offering the position with the contract, Safeguarding Policy, Code of Conduct and a link to a safeguarding basic awareness course.
- You must fulfil the following requirements as confirmation of your acceptance of the offer:
- read all the documents sent (as in point 7 above) and sign the contract,
- take the safeguarding basic awareness course and retain the certificate of completion,
- obtain an official certificate of no criminal record / disclosure in the country of residence,
- email copies of the signed contract, certificate of completion of the basic awareness course and no criminal record to us.
- bring all original documents when you come to serve.
- You will begin service as a residential volunteer with an induction course which includes safeguarding training specific to Fundacja Living Stones and the HoL.
- After two weeks of service, you will have a meeting with the Directors to address any concerns of either party.
NB: The Directors reserve the right to terminate the recruitment process at any time for any reason.
