Walking in God’s timeline
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a future and a hope.” (Jer. 29:11)
There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens. (Eccl. 3:1)
I’ve always had a love for numbers in the bible, and recently God has been showing me how precise His timing has been in our lives. He’s even given me dreams with numbers and dates in them. The numbers and dates are often symbolic, and I need to “de-code” them to get the meaning. It’s fun. But it’s also awesome how accurate it is.
For example, He took me to the date when we left Germany to come to Poland to start this journey of faith with Him. The date was the 1 August 2008 (01.08.08) and if you look at the numbers, they all point to a “new beginning”.
• 1 means beginning or start. It’s the first number.
• August is the 8th month and 8 means new beginning. It comes after 7 (spiritual completion).
• And the year is 08, which again means new beginning.
So, the date describes exactly what was happening in our lives at that time. I was leaving my job and everything we had known before, to start a new beginning with Him.
Coincidence?
Then the Lord took me to the date when we started to build the Prayer House. We didn’t choose that date; it was simply the date when the builders wanted to start. However, the numbers described exactly the new season we were entering in.
There were other dreams with numbers, but I won’t go into them now.
For a while, we’ve been wondering if we had missed something, if we were still in step with God’s timeline, because the last couple of years have been rather slow, and it’s taken longer to build the Prayer House than we originally anticipated. This was the context for the dreams. But the most recent ones were incredibly positive and encouraging! Father was assuring us that everything is “on target”.
