Doors!

Dear Friends,

We wish you a very happy New Year!

We don’t know what 2022 will bring. The world is certainly changing and it’s easy to get pulled about by all the things that are happening in the world right now. So, our focus is to fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith and to fulfil the callings and mandates that He has for us.

“See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut”. (Rev 3:8)

He has placed an open door before us and now is the time to go through. And we do this by entering His rest, His peace, His hope, and His Faith. We love the way He does things! It’s so different! We will see His purposes and plans fulfilled here as we go forward with faith and patience. It’s always by His grace, and He will do it!

Father, we thank you for the amazing plans that You have for this place, for the Jewish people, for their restoration, for their return to your heart through Jesus. We thank You for the life You are pouring out, for the grace, the freedom, the love, and the joy, to transform this place into Your glorious light!

Jesus, we honour You! You are the Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Prince of Peace. You are the Good Shepard, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world. You are the Son of God, the Bridegroom, the Beloved, and You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords. To You, EVERY knee will bow in heaven, on earth and under the earth. Amen and amen!

+++ SELAH +++

In our last newsletter, we wrote that we had ordered the internal doors for the Prayer House. We knew they were going to ready in November, but we didn’t know when. So, during the 3+ months that we were waiting, Father decided to stretch us!

We’re not going to go into details, except to say that He worked an amazing miracle!

We needed a HUGE amount of money, and for 3 months the bank balance didn’t move much. And then, at the very last minute, (why does God always wait till the last minute ?!?), the money came in. It came in just 4 consecutive days. And on the next working day (it was a Monday) we were told that the doors were ready, and we were handed the bill. Isn’t that amazing! We rejoiced over God’s provision.

Mark: There was something else that happened during that time. I know it might sound a bit strange, but as we were going through our little test, Jesus healed me from anxiety! I was able to wait on Him in complete peace. I wonder if that was a greater miracle?

Doors, doors, and more doors

It’s amazing to see how the inside of the building changed after the doors went in. There’s no concrete anymore or building blocks that can be seen. The inside has been transformed! You’ll find a link to the photos at the end of the newsletter.

Altogether there are 33 internal doors - normal doors, toilet doors, sound-proof doors, but in two places we have a wide glass door with a glass side panel. One is from the entrance hall to the lounge. And the other is from the basement hall to the Creative Room.

What was so cool, was that we could design our own images to go in the glass. The glass company, which distributes all over Poland, is only 30 minutes away. So, we were able to liaise with the designers to find out what was possible using sandblasting and specialist engraving techniques.

We created 2 prophetic images for the glass. Both represent the calling of the Prayer House.

Image 1 – door from the entrance hall to the lounge

In the glass door there are 4 eagles. The eagle at the bottom is on the ground. He’s broken, and if you look closely, you can see that he’s weeping. The curved lines sweeping across the glass from the top left-hand corner are rays representing the Glory of God, coming down out of heaven, seeking out and touching the broken eagle.

He may not know what happened, but the eagle has now enough strength to lift himself off the ground. He’s been touched by the Heavenly Presence and he’s reaching out for it.

Then he turns. He repositions himself in the direction of the Heavenly Presence. He’s getting bolder, stronger, moving upwards. He’s beginning to find his identity and starts to soar in the glory of those rays.

Finally we see the eagle in full flight. His wings are outstretched and he’s soaring effortlessly in the heavenly heights. He’s now in the fulness of his identity. He moves continuously upwards with his face shining in the glory of God, above the tops of the mountains, in the freedom of the wind that carries him.

This picture represents a journey. It’s our individual journey, which almost always starts from a place of brokenness. And it’s the Jewish nation’s journey, which also starts from a place of brokenness in the Holocaust.

The image reflects the Father’s heart for the Jewish people, which is also the calling of the Prayer House. His intent is to heal the wound of the Holocaust and to restore them to their calling and identity in their Messiah Jesus.

The Lord gave 3 verses of scripture that shaped the design. Again, these verses apply to us individually, as well as to the Jewish people.

1. Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5)

2. Those who wait for the LORD will renew their strength; they will rise-up on wings like eagles (Isaiah 40:31)

3. My beloved spoke and said to me, “Arise, my darling, my beautiful one and come away with me. See, the winter is past, the rains are over and gone, and flowers appear on the land” (Song of Songs 2: 10-12)

The third verse is reflected in the glass panel on the right. At the bottom of the mountain, you can see some flowers. These are blossoms from the almond tree, which is the first tree to flower in Spring.

Image 2 – door from the basement hall to the creative room

This is a much simpler image and is more symbolic than pictorial.

The initial idea was based upon a picture that I (Cathy) had of heaven opening over the earth, pouring in the light and Presence of God, and pushing back the darkness. Hence, it represents an open heaven.

I was reminded of Jacob’s ladder, so in the centre of the glory rays are steps, where the angels of God can ascend and descend.

The image also represents a fountain of living water. So many people have seen the river of life flowing here. That’s why the steps are rippled, as they also represent waves of living water.

Finally, the image can be seen as sheaves of wheat, where the wheat represents a mighty harvest. Here the harvest represents the Jewish people coming to know their Messiah, Jesus.

Well, that’s all for now, except for the photos of the doors. Please press on the button below to see the photos.

May God bless you richly in 2022.
Thank you so much for partnering with us and with all that the Father is doing here.

Shalom and blessings
Mark & Cathy
