Safeguarding

Safeguarding – Keeping everyone safe!

How to raise a concern or complaint

As followers of Jesus, we understand from the Bible and through our own experience of God, that we are created to be in relationship with one another, and that each of us has a unique contribution to make to the community around us.

We also understand that none of us are perfect! We all have limitations and flaws, and we can all make mistakes!  As a community, we seek to love and be patient with one another as we read in Col. 2:12,13.  Hence, we choose a lifestyle of repentance, and not to take offense.  If we are hurt, we follow the principle of “forgive, bless and release” and if necessary, have a “heart to heart” conversation with the person to clear up any issues or misunderstandings. This is all part of normal life!

At the same time, we also recognise there may be occasions when attempts to resolve an issue may fail.  Or there may be an issue of a more serious nature. Perhaps you may be aware of something, but you are not sure, and you simply want to talk about it with someone.

For all these instances, we have a reporting process.  We appreciate that making a report can take courage, but it is an important step as it enables the leadership to not only deal with a problem, but also to put measures in place that could prevent it happening again.

If you need to talk to someone or report something, our Safeguarding Officer, Karen Wasilewska, is here to help.  Her contact details are below.
